What we do:
Weekly Group Meetings
Activities include hand–eye coordination exercises, speech practice, memory games, maths challenges, and friendly quizzes.
Advice & Guidance
We connect members and carers with trusted services such as Carers Trust, Age UK, and local support hubs in Uxbridge
Day
Trips
Organised outings at reduced costs, giving stroke survivors the chance to enjoy independence and new experiences.
Respite Opportunities
Carers can take valuable time to access services or simply recharge while their loved one enjoys our group activities.
Bridge to Other Services
When overlapping needs arise, we help members access the right organisations, tackling barriers around communication, technology, and travel.
Hillingdon Stroke Support
began with a simple belief:
no one should face life after a stroke alone
We are a warm, volunteer-led social group for stroke survivors across the Hillingdon Borough. What started as a safe place for survivors to share their stories has grown into a hub of support, laughter, and friendship.
Today, we’re proud to be affiliated with the Stroke Association (as a SAVG group) and to provide stroke survivors and their carers with a community where confidence can be rebuilt and independence rediscovered.
