What have we got up to - Spring 2026

We've been very busy behind the scenes - and we've only just got round to updating our blog!

Between June 2025 and December 2025, we had a trip to De Havilland Aircraft Museum, Quiz Nights at Morello Lounge, a trip to the Royal Albert Hall, World Stroke Day, Bucket collections on Uxbridge High Street, our Christmas meal at Biggles Restaurant and various information stalls across Hillingdon (Including Hillingdon Leisure Centre, Enderley Road Medical Centre, Winston Churchill Hall, and Brunel University), all in addition to running the group every week!

We've met and collaborated with so many meaningful charities, all with the same aim as us - to support the residents in Hillingdon with any specific needs they may have. We have cemented ourselves as a cornerstone of support in Hillingdon, working closely with H4All to provide health messaging and networking.

In 2026, we aim to go above and beyond. So far, we have continued our hard work, bringing guest speakers from various health and wellbeing organisations (Speech&Language, Podiatry, Ark Farm Animal Therapy, Chiltern Music Therapy, Greenwich Leisure Limited, and more!) down to our group so that people can be referred to appropriate services on the spot, bridging the gap for those who may struggle with transport, finances, or general awareness of what services are available.

One of our major events that we are particularly proud of is the involvement in Mount Vernon Cancer Centre consultations. We hosted two gatherings in Uxbridge to provide feedback on the proposed changes to the centre. It was a super informative session - both times - even if there were a few tech hiccups.

As we move into the late Spring and beginning of Summer, we hope to continue on - keep an eye out during May in the Chimes, Uxbridge Library and nearby Leisure Centres while we host information stalls for STROKE AWARENESS MONTH!
